Over 60% of startups fail due to lack of access to financing within the first 4 years. I find this book to be a great guide for entrepreneurs in order to avoid being placed in that bucket and to learn inside and out the game of startup fundraising.

I feel like Alejandro did a phenomenal job of capturing some of the most important aspects of entrepeneurship. This guide really portrays some strong objectives that a starting-out entrepeneur might look to achieve, and provides the reader with a few tips & tricks to do so. By creating a product first, and seeking investors & financing later, you really can show control over your product and have a proven, solid object that works. This is an excellent guide for startups! I would highly recommend it to my colleagues. I have also worked as a nonprofit fundraiser, and I find that much of the advice provided here has significant crossover for any professional seeking funding support. The writing is clear, concise, and approachable. I was very pleased to learn about new resources, such as CoFoundersLab, and I feel much more confident about the steps necessary in business development.

This book is very helpful on many levels. No matter if you aim to fund around 10.000 € or go big and try to fund over 10 m €, it continuously guides you through the process. I am an entrepreneur myself and if i would have had this book in my hands 4 years ago, my start up would have been directed in a different more focused way. I recommend everyone to read it, no matter if you open your own coffee shop, or want to become the next Mark Zuckerberg.

it's actually a pretty good book if you want to get to the meat of it. i mean, i don't think this is the kind of stuff one can learn purely from books, and if you're novice you're going to be eaten alive anyways. but it gives a clear idea of the investor's perspective, what they're looking to see in a startup and what kind of process you're going to go through. which is valuable no matter how one looks at it

You do not have to be a businessman or who intend to do business. But of course this book would be more helpful for those who intend to start a business and ones who want to promote their existing businesses. In this book the author delivered his ideas based on his personal's experience as a superior businessman. He also gave applicable examples how to act or do in some situations with certain purpose. Step by step to reach the break even point then profit. You can also read how he founded Onevest, a company that helps entrepreneurs funding capital. When he and his wife started all that from her apartment and a year later his platform was written in TIME as one of the best crowdfunding platforms in the word! The author does not even forget to touch the psychological side of an entrepreneur. How to manage emotion in certain conditions. My favorite part is when the authors describe how he size up a person as a true entrepreneur. The ones must have a street smart, and are also a risk taker. Getting to know more the personal life of the author. I think this is interesting because he himself is so inspiring, vibrant, full of vision and open minded. All stars for this book.

Start-ups with advent of crowd-funding and venture capitalists have become a major stimulus to economies around the globe. This book addresses all the ambiguities and clarifies them in a walk-through for anyone to convert a great idea into a successful enterprise. It compiles, and more importantly rectifies the conceptual fallacies that are normally not found in books and (may be) are scattered over internet. The new millennium economies are fostering SMEs across the globe- and this is a DIY handbook, for every entrepreneur to succeed without losing the trade-secrets. It will serve the readers as a consultant, confidante and big brother you need to lean on. It all starts with generating capital and connecting it with revenue- and this book is a tell-all tale.

I am a startup founder myself and, believe it or not, before coming across this book I had no idea what I was getting into when I chose to start my business. This book not only guides you through the process of angel investing and fundraising, it also teaches you the dos and don't and how to think in order to be successful and achieve greatness. The writing is very clear and concise, full of great tips and hacks. I am definitely recommending it to my teammates and colleagues. Thank you Alejandro Cremades for helping me understand that it's not going to be easy. Your book gave me great deal of confidence. I think I am ready to face what future brings in startup field. Regards, Lisa

I felt that this book was written in a language that is clear and concise. It's easy to understand and makes some parts of fundraising (which for me is quite difficult) that are actually pretty complex seem much more clear. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to take on the task of fundraising. So having this book as a reference guide to any new start up fundraising events is really beneficial. It even provides referral links to other places that can help you on your new venture. I am glad I have it and can look back over the information whenever I need to.

This book was exactly what I was looking for. It covers everything a new startup needs to know about fundraising. The text is straight forward and easily digestible, no long winded explanations. Every angle of fundraising is covered, I was especially interested in crowdfunding. Crowdfunding is talked about all over the place but a real breakdown of what it is and how to do it effectively was not easy to find; this book covers it in perfect detail. Another section I was very interested in is sources of capital, angel investors and super angels. The art of the pitch is another favorite; actually the entire book will remain helpful for years to come. The sections and chapters are well thought out, it is easy to find exactly what I wanted.

To this day, there was no guide that I could refer to other entrepreneurs who are raising until Alejandro Cremades published "The Art of Startup Fundraising." Not only explains everything you need to know about fundraising, but it's a great walkthrough to every possible step in the process. The process of raising capital is tedious and, if it's not done right, it could end up sucking way too much time.

There are actually a lot of people looking to start their own business and with the current economy it's extremely difficult to get funding in traditional ways. This book was definitely a good alternative to those 'traditional' aspects, like bank loans which are nearly impossible now. There's so much that entrepreneurs can do to raise their own capital though and too many don't even realize it so this book is definitely something you should be reading if you know you have a great idea but you're There are actually a lot of people looking to start their own business and with the current economy it's extremely difficult to get funding in traditional ways.
