I didn't think I was going to love Romero. He was always the goofy one. BUT BOY WAS I WRONG! This one had all the angst, possessiveness, and romance all Reyes books have. Fabulous read.

Ramon Romero is a brawny, filthy-mouthed, possessive, hot-headed arrogant jerk, and I adore him. He acts before he thinks, and one minute I wanted to slap him upside the head and the next jump on him and kiss him silly!! He’s been a huge part of the Moreno brother’s series and I was so happy that Elizabeth Reyes gave him his own book. This book overlaps in storyline with Always Been Mine, Alex and Valerie’s book. It’s where Isabel first came into the picture, and her relationship with Romero too Ramon Romero is a brawny, filthy-mouthed, possessive, hot-headed arrogant jerk, and I adore him. He’s been a huge part of the Moreno brother’s series and I was so happy that Elizabeth Reyes gave him his own book. This book overlaps in storyline with Always Been Mine, Alex and Valerie’s book. It’s where Isabel first came into the picture, and her relationship with Romero took off, much to the surprise of everyone. Isabel is sweet, shy, but when challenged, she stands her ground and of course Romero is the person who takes her on. Romero is a womanizer, and he likes to play hard and party even harder. Raised by his uncles Manny and Max, he’s a guy with an edge to him. Somewhat reformed from their less than stellar past business ventures, the uncles now own a “tittie bar”, their idea of respectable! Romero has worked for them since graduating high school. It’s no wonder he leads the lifestyle that he does, although he certainly has lacked for love. Manny and Max adore him and are trying to do right by him the only way they know how. Their parenting skills are a little unconventional and very amusing. They were fun, quirky characters that frustrated Romero, but also brought out his soft side. Not lacking in ambitions of his own, Romero is well on his way to establishing his own security firm, when meets his “Izzy”. Isabel comes from an affluent “proper” family, but she is kind, not judgmental and sees Romero for who he truly is, and falls hard for him. Their relationship goes back and forth, and back and forth, which I found to be somewhat aggravating. If the author had backed off of this just a little, it would not have seemed so repetitive. With that being said, it was a very enjoyable book, fit the personalities of the characters and although the timeline mirrored Always Been Mine, it was a separate story in itself. Ooh la la, Salvatore is up next!! He’s the elusive, quiet, eldest Moreno brother, and I have a feeling his is going to be a very interesting story!

Romero by Elizabeth Reyes Book 4 in the Moreno Brother's Series How does one go about telling about Romero? In the earlier books we see him as the one always getting drunk early and only caring about what girls he can pick up at the parties. And his mouth, well the words that come out of it, not good. Be warned that Romero was raised by his two uncles and they are... well...Manny and Max are hilarious but pretty crude. In the earlier books we see him as the one always getting drunk early and only caring about what girls he can pick up at the parties. And his mouth, well the words that come out of it, not good. Be warned that Romero was raised by his two uncles and they are... well...Manny and Max are hilarious but pretty crude. They love their boy they raised and straightened out some of their activities to be a good example for him but they don't consider cursing to be bad, they don't do well with table manners and they own a bar that is a bit more than going out for a beer. Along with his drinking, cursing and womanizing...Romero also has a temper. It goes from cold to boiling in less than 10 seconds and it's pretty dangerous considering Romero's muscular well kept physique. Isabel is not from a perfect family but it sure is opposite of Romero's. Her sister Pat is all about finding the perfect man for Izzy. And Romero is not it, according to Pat anyways. If she is not fixing her up with some fancy Navy man than it is dragging Izzy's high school sweetheart into the mix. A mix that turns into dynamite if Romero sees a man anywhere near his girl and even a bit more explosive if it's an ex-boyfriend and it might as well be like a nuclear bomb ready to blow when you add Pat into it, they hate each other. This book is full of up and down emotions. You see all the sides of Romero, including the vulnerable one. He is as possessive as his friends the Moreno's but not even Alex has a temper that matches his. If your like me your emotions will take you from wanting to strangle Pat to struggle along with Romero when he is trying to hold his temper. Elizabeth has added another great book in her series and she has a extra mystery in the story that adds to it as well. And than there is her humor! Be ready to laugh hard at the antics of Manny and Max, Romero's uncles. The last story is the oldest Moreno brother, Sal. Already looking forward to it. Read more about her books on my blog at: http://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/... **Contains strong language and sexual situations.

Absolutely loved this bk. I knew I’d like it because I love this series, ER’s writing style and her sense of humor. Just didn’t realize how much I’d like it. Romero was even sweeter to Isabelle than in the glimpses we got in Always Been Mine. There’s maturity and character development for all the major players as this series moves along, however, it seemed to me Romero makes the most changes. I really like how each bk goes back to scenes we’ve read parts of in other bks and expands. It’s almost like what we read previously was a preview of what’s to come. I love these characters. They seem so real and life like and the smack these guys talk is just so freaking funny. I think Romero and Alex are a tie as the most alpha overprotective, hot heads, but at the heart of their protectiveness there's a sweetness. I got a bit nervous about 3/4 in wondering how all the drama would resolve itself. Really made me think about the anger issue at the heart of Romero/Izzy’s relationship. Fortunately all was resolved nicely and Romero and Izzy got their HEA. This series is a re-read for me. Highly recommend. Can’t wait for brother Sal’s bk.

Romero has been around since the beginning of this series. He grew up around Angel (Forever Mine) and Sal (Making You Mine), and his two best friends are Alex (Always Been Mine) and Eric (Sweet Sofie). Since the first novel in this series, Romero has been my least favorite character. His lewd remarks, his filthy language, and his tough guy act have bugged me. (Sometimes I find these characteristics intriguing, but they never really worked for Romero.) Having said all of that, I really enjoyed Romero. I know, crazy right? I put this novel off for almost a month because I wasn’t that excited about it. I planned on reading it at some point because I love the Moreno Brother series and this novel is an important part of the series, but I didn’t have high expectations for this novel. I only expected it be okay. Well, surprise, surprise! I really, really enjoyed this novel. Romero wasn’t a saint in this novel, but he really worked on all of the things that drive me crazy about his character- his language, his crass remarks, and his attitude. There was a huge change in his character from the previous novels to this one. Plus, instead of watching him put a tough guy act on for his friends, I felt like I got to know the real Romero. I really enjoyed the romance between Romero and Izzy. Their relationship was sweet, but also challenging. Izzy’s family doesn’t approve of Romero, especially her sister Kat. Kat causes quite a few problems between Romero and Izzy, and instead of taking the hits as they come, Romero and Izzy muck things up even more. I do have one complaint about this novel, and it’s this: Romero was a little too possessive. It’s a difficult line. How possessive is too possessive? I’m not sure exactly what makes it too much. I like it when characters are a little bit protective/possessive. However, Romero’s temper combined with his possessiveness was too much. I know that he would NEVER hurt Izzy, but I don’t think that he should control her either. There were a few times where his jealousy was scary and overwhelming. I can’t wait to read Making You Mine, Sal’s story, which is published December 2011. We knew who the love interests were going to be in Always Been Mine, Sweet Sofie, and Romero. Making You Mine will be the first novel since Forever Mine that is a complete surprise. Not to mention, Sal is quiet, mysterious, and sexy. I can’t wait to see what goes on in the eldest Moreno Brother’s mind. I gave Romero by Elizabeth Reyes 4 STARS (3.5 STARS). I strongly recommend this novel and this companion series. -XOXO READING, EATING AND DREAMING

How can I not fall for Romero? He's a good looking arrogant hothead who has a filthy mouth, possessive as hell with a temper to boot yet he's the goofy and adorable one. I just didn't think I'd fall hard for him which I did. He has a sweet and vulnerable side which got me. Izzy is Romero's polar opposite in upbringing given that she came from an uptight affluent family while Romero was raised by his uncles who own a titty bar. “His uncles, while a little rough around the edges, were good guys—now. They’d come a long way from their days of being thugs. They gave up the life of trafficking and gambling for a more respectable way of life—they opened up a titty bar.” Loved Manny and Max. Such colorful characters! Romero and Izzy maybe different in a lot of ways but they were perfect together. Their story was fun and eventful though it gave me a whiplash from all the back and forth. There were so much things happening, a lot of drama... I wanted to shout 'enough already!'. (This is the only reason why I had to knock off a star. I felt sorry for them.) STILL I enjoyed their story a lot. Another great read from Elizabeth Reyes.

Romero is a great addition to the series surrounding the Moreno brothers, I really liked his intensity and how we see past some of the ways that the brothers see him when they are younger. His relationship with Izzy was beautifully written and I can't wait for the next book about Sal to come out!

Romero became one of my favorite supporting characters over the course of the series leading up to his own book. He had a rough edge to him and a funny sense of humor. I will say, even though I like his story, I didn't like that the author took out most of his humor for this book. I felt like his overbearing ways were betrayed in a whole different light than the way the Moreno Brothers' overbearing ways were betrayed in their books. I wish the author would have left his humor in this book. I did Romero became one of my favorite supporting characters over the course of the series leading up to his own book. Romero by Elizabeth Reyes was a good read, not my favorite in the series but overall it was good. I think Romero could have handled his temper a lot better. It was super crazy, I never got the “danger” red flag from Alex’s temper in any of the books in this series, but with Romero…I totally got that red flag. I was like WOW seriously, is he going to hit the wall to stop him from hitting her? I think in no way was his temper okay for anyone to except and I was happy that the writer expressed that he went through anger management and was working really hard on controlling it. Although, even as crazy and hot headed as Romero could be at times, I did like him and could see how vulnerable he really was. He became committed to”his Izzy” and I liked that. Isabel was good for him and helped him be a better person. And really that’s what a relationship should do. It should make one want to be a better person and work out their problems. Okay enough with my speech and on with THE KISSING scenes, and let me tell you they were totally hot and didn’t disappoint, yummy. The two characters had a great chemistry and I even got butterflies in my stomach with some of the steamier parts. I also liked how Romero brought Izzy out of her good girl safe place. It was nice that there was no weird drama. You know like the stalker or the drama with who is cheating on who crap. There was a bit of insecurity drama but it wasn’t the base line for the bad situation to keep the story line going. The comedy was hilarious and was the selling point for me from the beginning of this book. My husband said he has never heard me laugh out loud so much while I was reading. I loved Romero’s uncles. I have a new word in my vocabulary now thanks to them “splatteration”. I am still laughing while I type the word out. I love those old guys and thought that the story just wouldn’t be the same without them. This series in one of my top ten favorites and I could recommend them to anyone. Romero is a great addition to this series and I am glad that Elizabeth adhered to the request of her fans and wrote this book.

Romero is used to one-night stands, no strings attached woman, and no emotional attachments in his sex life. Not love life because it is just SEX life. Anyway, when he meets Isabel at Angel & Sarah's wedding shower he is smitten. No Romero can't stop thinking about her and he has no idea why. Isabel meets Romero for the first time while attending a wedding shower with her best friend and roommate Valerie. At first Isabel is not sure what to make of Romero's personality. Romero is completely different from anyone she has ever meet. A little rude for her taste normally but she is loving the honesty & ability to just say what he feels at the time no holding back. She thinks about him for a couple of weeks after the shower and then she runs into him at the mall. What are the chances? Slim. This had to be planned. Romero and Isabel start dating and Isabel can't believe how wonderful Romero is or how much she loves him already. She knows her family is going to go a little nuts because he is not to their standards but she does not care. Her snobby sister Pat can just get over it. But Pat is a pushy woman. Pat is admit that Romero is bad news and that she needs to be with someone for like Jacob. Her ex from high school whom she dated for 2 long boring years. When Jacob & Isabel broke up they both agreed it was best. Now Romero must impress her family or hope Isabel chooses him over her family. Romero only wants to protect Izzy, even if it is from her snobby sister. Good story with romance, sex, love, passion, and a lot of self control.

Personally, though I like Elizabeth Reyes' writing and I thought i'd love Romero's character, I wasn't too crazy about his and Izzy's relationship. I always got the impression that Romero would be this all around tough headed goofball with a possesive streak, but this was way over the top (and I thought Alex had set the bar on that one). Though I wasn't a fan of Isabel's family (some of them, because I liked Art) or their opinion of Romero, I couldn't help but feel that they were justified in thinking Romero had more than just some anger issues and being so worried about their daughter. Also, I really got tired of the lack of trust between these two. That coiled with Romero's sudden outbursts made this relationship one of my least favorite in the series. In another review, someone compared this story to Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire, and though this couple doesn't even begin to rival the ups and downs in Travis and Abby's relationship, Romero and Isabel's relationship is just as explosive. So if you enjoyed that book (which I did) then you'll enjoy this one. Still, it was nice to read Romero's story. The ending was hilarious and more than well deserved for Romero, and I liked getting to see some of the other characters in the series and how their stories have evolved. I'm now looking foward to Sal's story since we got a lot more character development from him in this book. I have a feeling I'll enjoy that one a lot more, since my favorites in this series have been the ones concerning the original Moreno brothers.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. WOW, is what comes to mind after finishing the fourth book in the Moreno Brothers series. Just when I thought this series could not get any better, Romero's story comes along. In the earlier books we are introduced to Romero and Isabel's story but having it as the focus of a book was INCREDIBLE. When Romero appeared in the other books, I thought of him as the funny womanizer in Angel's group of friends but there is so much more to Romero which is discovered in this book, why he acts, speaks, and WOW, is what comes to mind after finishing the fourth book in the Moreno Brothers series. I especially enjoyed the concept that *SPOILER* Romero wanted that commitment soon after being with Isabel, yet Isabel was unsure about committing to Romero. I highly recommend this book if you LOVE the Moreno Brothers series!!!

Romero is a ladies man and is always one for nothing series when it comes to girls but in comes Isobel ( who is Valeries roommate) and she sparks his intrest like no woman ever has. But Isobel is so diffrent from him he really doesnt think he is good enough. I dont want to give to much away beacuase i want everyone to go out and read this awsome book. Once Again Elizabeth Reyes puts the characters through the ringer , which makes the story so much better. Like each relationship they have hurdles to get over and when they do they are all the stronger for it. Elizabeth makes you fell what each character is feeling insecurity, passion, love, anger you name it i felt it. One of my fav authors of all time and i would recommend all her books to everyone. Bring on the next one!!!

    Autumn Review

I honestly did not like Romero in the other books, but fell in love with him in this one! His intensity is almost too much to bear at times, bordering on crazy/scary. However, I've said it before and I'll say it again, Elizabeth Reyes has a way to make you fall in love with these guys even when you really didn't think you could or want to! I loved that Izzy and Romero came from different worlds, but yet find common ground to make their relationship work. Without revealing too much, I was proud of Izzy and overall thrilled with the outcome of the book. Seriously, this is one my favorite series! I SO look forward to Sal's story releasing in December 2011! I have my suspicions of who his leading lady will be and can't WAIT to see if I'm right! Once again, please go get the books in this series!

Izzy and Romero What happens when you get a short fused Alpha Male and a picture perfect school teacher together? Lots and lots of steam! Meddling parents, deception, the need to protect the one you love, and lots of humor describe the tale of the story of Izzy and Romero. And let me tell you, it doesn't disappoint. Although Romero isn't a true Moreno brother by blood, he has got all of the style of the Moreno's and grew up with them so, just like in any tight knit family, he is a Moreno brother Izzy and Romero What happens when you get a short fused Alpha Male and a picture perfect school teacher together? Romero was my favorite of The Moreno Brothers series. I've enjoyed all of the books but I really loved Romero. I like that all of Reyes' characters have real flaws and Romero is no exception. It was great to really see why he is the way he is, and as an added bonus his uncles are hilarious!! At first I was a bit worried because Romero wasn't depicted in the best light in the other books but this one will make you fall in love with him!

i loved this book, you really got to see Romero's life story. i'm so glad Elizabeth Reyes wrote this book. :D **the only little thing i had a little "hmm" moment on was that Isabel knew Romero had an anger problem yet i never saw her talk to him about anger management classes. all together i would read this over and over again

Oh how I love Romero, let me count the ways: he's hot, possessive, strong, demanding, domineering, crazy in love................ sigh I love Romero. I can re-read this book again and again.

“I really am broken without you. Promise you’ll never leave me, Izzy.” LOVE ROMERO! He was a hot head but what you see with him is what you get.
